First Edition of 'The Future of Software Development' to Be Held in Ghent
Ghent, Belgium — April 25, 2025 — The inaugural edition of The Future of Software Development will take place as an afterwork conference on Thursday June 5th 2025, at the Wintercircus in Ghent. The free community event will focus on the impact of low-code, no-code, and AI technologies on the development landscape.
As organizations across all sectors face increasing demands for rapid digital solutions, traditional software development approaches are being supplemented—and in some cases replaced—by new paradigms. The democratization of software creation, the acceleration of AI capabilities, and the rise of composable and modular architectures are transforming the way applications are built and maintained. "The Future of Software Development" aims to address these trends and provide a platform for critical discussion, practical insights, and knowledge exchange.
The event is organized by and for the No Code Belgium community, led by a core team of four professionals with first-hand experience in the world of start-ups, consulting, platform development, and rapid application delivery. Their combined expertise promises a balanced, practice-driven perspective throughout the event.
The program of the evening includes a series of presentations and discussions featuring clients and experts across sectors ranging from large enterprises to SMEs and public organizations. Speakers will cover diverse technology stacks and real-world cases, offering perspectives on innovation, implementation challenges, and lessons learned. Topics will include recent developments such as vibe coding practices, no-code backend architectures, cross-platform integration, and AI-enhanced citizen development initiatives. The event is designed for IT leaders, developers, architects, and business innovators seeking to navigate the changing software landscape with clarity and purpose.
The Future of Software Development is made possible through the support of its partners:
Apvine, Aziri, Behind Your Business, Bubble, Build More, First Response, OutSystems, KPMG Belgium, Mendix, Odum, rico.wtf, Sixth Generation, Uddan, WeWeb, Wintercircus and Xylos.
